Puget Ridge Playground’s Favorite Design Is Shared By Seattle Parks

The Puget Ridge Playground on 21st Ave SW is undergoing renovations following town halls and design reviews. The renovation project will update the features of the community-built park with play structures accessible to children of all abilities.

Seattle Parks shared the preferred design for the Puget Ridge playground at 6029 21st avenue southwest, was developed based on public input, accessibility standards, other park design standards and budget limitations.

The intention of the preferred design is to maintain the bones of the existing park, to include new play structures accessible to all abilities – focused on young children, and to improve seating and gatherings.

Seattle Parks and Recreation is renovating the playground and installing new play equipment in the park. The planning process included two community meetings to gather public feedback and review the design. The meetings took place on April 16, 2018 and June 6, 2018. Meeting notes and presentation documents are available below.
