Seattle Parks and Recreation and YMCA of Greater Seattle announce summer job fairs

The two organizations are hiring dozens of positions to provide a safe summer for children

Step up and help the kids this summer – do work that matters! Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) and the YMCA of Greater Seattle (YMCA) have an alarming number of summer vacancies for Seattle-area youth-serving positions, particularly around youth-related activities. water and day camps that offer childcare services to parents this summer.

The two organizations have more than 100 positions available to manage day camps and pool, beach and wading pool staff. SPR and YMCA will host joint job fairs where candidates can learn about available positions, ask staff questions and apply on the spot.

SPR and YMCA offer excellent salaries and benefits and offer permanent, temporary, seasonal, full-time and part-time opportunities, including positions for people as young as 16 years old. These positions are perfect for young adult beginners. and anyone seeking to enter the fields of education, social services, or emergency response, while caring for children and families in their communities.

  • Wednesday, June 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Meredith Matthews YMCA (1700 23rdSeattle, WA)
  • Thursday, June 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Magnuson Park, Building 406 (6344 NE 74eSeattle, WA).
  • Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Seattle YMCA (3622 SW Snoqualmie St., Seattle, WA)
  • Saturday, June 4 from 3-6 p.m. at Rainier Beach Community Center (8825 Rainier Ave. S, Seattle, WA)
