Seattle Parks and Recreation Needs Help With Carkeek Park Playground Renovation

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is excited to begin the process of renovating the Carkeek Park playground in northwest Seattle at 950 NW Carkeek Park Rd. The community is encouraged to participate and give its opinion.

Please take a short survey https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/CarkeekPG and join us online December 9 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meeting link is https://bit.ly/CarkeekPlayAreaMeeting1 and no registration is required. Additionally, we will post the recording of the meeting online, and after viewing it, people can email the Project Planner with their input. The recorded presentation will be posted on the website the week of December 13.

This project will renovate the existing playground, which will include replacing equipment and improving accessibility. The salmon slide will be assessed for any necessary maintenance or restoration. In this meeting, the design team will share an analysis of the site as well as potential styles and equipment for the play areas. We can’t wait to hear how the existing playground is working for you and your family and what improvements you would like to see.
