It’s the view of Schurmann Rock at Long camp. After a long period of pandemic closure, the 68-acre park at 5200 35th SW has “softly reopened,” opening up opportunities to not only visit, but help guide its future. First, here’s what we learned from the supervisor at Camp Long Matt Kostle:

Camp Long Park is open at the following times:

Tuesday to Sunday – Doors are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

(Sanitary blocks may close a little earlier to allow time for staff to close the entire facility)

We are now accepting full capacity rentals for the following:

-Main bedrooms of the Lodge (upstairs bedroom, basement, kitchen)
– Outdoor shelters
-Exterior large ring of fire

We plan to open the rentals of our chalets soon

Our Challenge course and our climbing wall are also available for groups to register for the program!

For rentals and general park information, contact Nancy Mitchell 206-684-7434 [email protected]

For Challenge educational course programs, contact: Maggie Riederer [email protected]

Kostle adds: “We are moving to these new times and rentals and with limited staff we may not have as much availability for rentals and the opening and closing of the park may not be at the exact times published, but we are working to transition to these times and availability to keep the park open and rentals available to use.”

He also told us, “During the pandemic we have also been able to make some major upgrades to the facilities, the biggest of which is the addition of WIFI now available at the main lodge in addition to some large smart TVs so people can organize meetings. , conferences, presentations, etc. here and still reach a wider digital audience!”
